This course is an entry level course that includes an overview of common injuries associated with high-risk lifestyles and occupations. Intro to tactical emergency combat care, survival first-aid, and practical application of medical concepts under varying levels of stress and resources.
Disclaimer:
This course exposes students to visually traumatic images and artificial blood, portions of this training include physically demanding and emotionally challenging scenarios. No previous training or experience is required.
Criteria:
This course is hosted in a local law enforcement classroom in Volusia County, FL. Students are given a 4-hour block of instruction utilizing instructor demonstrations, and practical application using equipment and techniques approved by the Journal of Special Operations Medicine, and The Committee for Tactical Emergency Casualty Care. All equipment is provided for the course. This course will also give the student current Fend Industries TACMED certificate and CPR credentials.
